Emil Reynolds

18 year track record of achieving mission critical results in fast-paced, austere environments through dynamic action, teamwork, and leadership. Innovation is his passion and his in-depth experience with Project Management, Experimentation, Test & Evaluation, and tactical operations.
His military experience enables him understand the needs and to visualize and conceptualize innovative technologies that revolve around lethality, protection and rescue. These innovations are focused on improving the performance and survivability of soldiers in the field, always prioritize minimizing the weight in a ruck, and include autonomous systems.

As a soldier, an employee, and now as a business owner, Emil is staunchly dedicated to providing innovative solutions to the Armed Forces of the United States of America and her allies.

John Donoso
Chief Technical Officer
15+ years of full-stack engineering, systems integration, product design, project management, signals, intelligence, infrastructure, and foreign policy experience within USG, NGOs, and the private sector, including software and hardware engineering experience with UAVs, UGVs, and network design and build.
John has also spent significant time studying and helping counter foreign intelligence and disinformation campaigns as well as implementing initiatives supporting national and global policy in Afghanistan, the Middle East, and CONUS.
In the course of that work, he has been responsible for open-source investigations, digital forensics, penetration testing, election monitoring, and local governance and economic development, particularly in Afghanistan and Lebanon. As a result, he speaks terrible German, Spanish, Dari, and Arabic.

Lance Dover
Chief Product Officer
Lance Dover is a retired U.S. Air Force officer with over 22 years experience as an acquisition officer and 4 years as an Air Force civilian senior engineer. He attended Montana College of Mineral Science and Technology where he earned Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in metallurgical engineering. Lance joined the Combat Bound team in January 2022 as the Chief Projects Officer.
Lance’s Air Force career provided him with unique experiences in test and evaluation, program management, aircraft, spacecraft, electronic warfare, and personnel management. He led teams developing the nation’s most advanced weaponry, improved human/machine interfacing for intelligence analytics, and cognitive systems engineering efforts. Some of his achievements include developing a competing infra-red satellite system for missile warning which forced a major defense contractor to improve their game and field their technology; through realistic training in an operational environment, preventing an Air Force special operations unit from making a fatal mistake during the initial days of Operation Iraqi Freedom; and establishing a successful internal inspection program for the Air Force Research Laboratory when he became the Laboratory’s first Inspector General.
Blending systems engineering with personnel leadership provides Lance with the ability to execute programs which deliver results and improve team performance. Helping team members improve their skills and experiences results in improved cohesion and a desire to excel in the workplace. His leadership at the Air Force Research Laboratory as a government civilian supervisor resulted in 25% improvement in contribution scores of his personnel and garnered him the 2019 Laboratory’s Civilian Supervisor of the Year Award.

Frank Hunt Jr.
Business Advisor
His career includes 32 years of US Navy and Joint military experience, 31 years as a small business owner, 19 years as a government contractor, and 21 years as a Department of Defense civil servant. These efforts have overlap because Frank isn’t content doing one thing at a time. His Navy experience (active duty & reserve) includes deck watches, shipboard engineering, amphibious operations, carrier aviation, flight instruction, tactical air control, HQ tours, Joint exercise control, and supporting local drinking establishments across the globe.
As a government contractor he was a flight simulator instructor, training/curriculum developer, joint test simulation analyst, and joint exercise operator-trainer. As a DoD civil servant, he was the COMSEC Manager for TRADOC, the network team lead for USJFCOM’s Joint Experimentation Directorate, and was a computer scientist for 15 years supporting Joint interoperability and integration, retiring as the Technical Integration Branch Chief within the Joint Staff J6.
His dedication to improving the efficacy of the US Armed Forces, an inability to sit still, and him still wanting to contribute led him to joining Combat Bound because the company is dedicated to improving the lot of “those that eat the MRE’s” through innovation and improvements in Rescue, Lethality, and Protection.

Eric Springer
Chief Financial Officer
Eric has been with Combat Bound since August 21. He is a retired U.S. Naval Officer of 30 years (active -
11 years and reserves - 19 years), government contractor (10 years) and Department of Defense civil
servant (23 years).
His active-duty Navy experience includes deck watches, engineering and damage control, amphibious
operations, communications, and re-fueling operations. His reserve duty includes stints as a
Commanding Officer, Chief of Staff Officer, Executive Officer, Department Head. As a civil servant, he
worked as an Operations Duty Officer, Joint Experimentation Developer, as a “A” level Contracting
Officer’s Representative (COR) for the Joint Staff.
Eric’s education includes a BS in Psychology from the University of Oklahoma and a MS in Human
Resource Management from Golden Gate University. His military schools include the Naval War
College, Surface Warfare School, Damage Control Assistant and NBC Officer, Instructor, and various
other short-term technical schools. He has completed the COR course multiple times as required by
directive.
Joshua Cryer
Chief Strategy Officer
With over 26 years in military communications, Joshua Cryer has built a distinguished career leading groundbreaking advancements in secure communications, satellite technologies, and tactical systems. He has held key roles at the Naval Special Warfare Development Group, NATO, L3Harris Technologies, and Reticulate Micro, where he has been instrumental in driving innovation for defense and special operations forces worldwide. His expertise spans cutting-edge research and development, strategic acquisitions, and the deployment of next-generation ISR and SATCOM solutions.
Throughout his career, Joshua has spearheaded the development of game-changing technologies for U.S. Navy SEALs, led NATO’s SATCOM technical team managing a €1.85B portfolio, and pioneered advancements in tactical communications. He played a key role in developing the first "Ultra-Sat" micro SATCOM terminal, contributed to NATO’s Space Segment 6th Generation (NSS6G), and architected cross-segment technology demonstrations showcasing L3Harris’ "One LHX" sensor-to-shooter capability. As well as leading a team in the development of the Reticulate Micro VAST (Video Adaptive Systems Technology) platform, revolutionizing video compression for military applications.
Joshua’s leadership philosophy is built on radical honesty, fostering diversity, and servant leadership, shaped by his experience in special operations. He believes in empowering teams through active listening and collaboration to push the boundaries of what’s possible. Currently, he provides consulting and advisory services to businesses in the domestic and international defense markets, with a passion for solving complex challenges through technology and cross-functional teamwork.
